Four documents, as printed

Each one started as a Markdown file and came out of the engine as a checked PDF. The pages below are rasterised from those PDFs, untouched. The documents are fictional samples written for testing the engine.

Report

A submission, as a report

A fictional objection to a harbour tower, set as a calm A4 report: a cover over a library photo, an issue register with severity labels, callouts and a figure.

Pages: 8, trim 210 × 297 mm
Source: One Markdown file and its figure, plus a library photo
Layout: Report, A4, one column, a photo cover
Checks: Every hard check passes

Magazine

The same words, as a magazine

The same file again, as a bold issue: a full-bleed cover with cover lines quoted word for word, Part openers, two-column features and a dark conclusion.

Pages: 11, trim 230 × 300 mm
Source: The same Markdown, unchanged
Layout: Magazine, spreads, engine-drawn silk art
Checks: Every hard check passes

Brochure

A product brochure

Quaystead, an invented maker of cargo bikes: a hero cover, feature cards, big numbers, a model gallery, quotes, a comparison table and a contact back page.

Pages: 8, trim 210 × 297 mm
Source: Markdown and four product drawings
Layout: Brochure, A4, in multiples of four pages
Checks: Every hard check passes

Picture book

A picture book

“Pim and the Hiding Moon”, a story written for testing: square spreads with a picture and a few lines of large type, endpapers, a title page and an imprint.

Pages: 24, trim 216 × 216 mm
Source: Markdown and 13 illustrations
Layout: Picture book, square, padded to a multiple of four
Checks: Every hard check passes
